How It Works: Setup & Programs

How It Works

An adjustable motor-driven arm delivers repeated movement. The controls set the level, rhythm and model-specific modes.

01 · SET UP

Match your manual

Check the model and revision, assemble with power disconnected and secure the machine on a firm, level surface.

02 · LEARN THE CONTROLS

Choose your settings

Identify the start and stop controls. Test with the movement path clear, then begin at the lowest setting in the matching instructions.

03 · EXPLORE THE MODES

Adjust the rhythm

SPM-L offers LIGHT / HEAVY modes; SPM-M Red adds scenes; SPM-M-NEW2.0 has travel and memory controls; Ultra-Quiet has its own speed and rhythm settings.

Use the matching manual for the exact controls and stopping behavior. Keep the stop control accessible and supervise operation.

Detailed setup & care

This guide covers preparation, controls and equipment care for adult users. Use the instructions supplied with your exact model and version; the guide does not replace the manual.

1. Confirm the model and instructions

Check the model label, supplied parts and power-adapter rating before assembly. The Support & manuals page currently includes an English SPM-L user manual. If your model or revision is not listed, request its instructions from support before proceeding.

2. Assemble with power disconnected

Inspect the base, arm, fasteners, cable and attachment for damage. Assemble and tighten parts according to the matching manual. Place the unit on a firm, level surface with clearance around every moving part. Keep loose clothing, cables, fingers and other objects away from the movement path. Do not use a damaged, loose or unstable unit.

3. Learn the controls before use

Identify start, stop, level selection, rhythm and automatic-stop controls in the manual. Test the remote and stop control with the movement path clear and nobody in contact with the attachment. Keep the remote and power disconnect accessible. Do not assume identical button behavior across models.

SPM-L offers LIGHT / HEAVY modes and a random force limit. SPM-M Red has five scene modes with triple-press confirmation. SPM-M-NEW2.0 has separately adjustable travel, speed and pauses, plus three personal memories. The Super Power Ultra-Quiet model has its own speed and rhythm settings. See the four-model comparison for the differences.

SPM-M-NEW2.0: reference, presets & memory

This overview applies specifically to SPM-M-NEW2.0. Confirm the supplied instructions for your revision before proceeding.

Set the reference before a continuous run

Secure the machine and attachment with power disconnected, then clear the entire movement path. At the intended reference position, press TEST: the machine moves 180° and returns. Press TEST again for one full movement and check the direction and travel before starting continuous operation. The reference is user-set; it is not automatic surface detection.

Adjust motion or recall a preset

SPD controls 30 speed levels. STR selects 9 travel settings from 18° to 243°. FWD sets the forward-end pause from 0.1 to 1.5 seconds, while RHY selects 20 waiting intervals from 0.01 to 5 seconds. S, M and L are factory presets; power-on starts with S. Speed numbers are theoretical motor commands, not measured impact or attachment speed.

Save U1, U2 or U3

Hold a U button to save motion settings and random-speed limits. If saved during continuous operation, the record is written after stopping; three quick beeps confirm saving. These settings remain after power-off. Random-mode activation, timer and count targets are not stored.

Understand random-mode limits

Enable random speed while stopped by holding the lower S button. SPD+ raises the minimum and SPD− lowers the maximum. Factory presets use the full 1–30 random range, including the highest speed; narrow the limits before starting. Hold the lower L button while stopped for random waiting intervals. Random modes turn off after a run.

TEST in random-speed mode checks only the lowest selected speed. It does not test the maximum speed or random interval.

Count, timer and stopping

While stopped, CNT+ adds 50 cycles up to 500; TMR+ adds one minute up to 10. Setting one target cancels the other. A normal START/STOP command includes a return movement: wait until all movement finishes. After a manual stop, use another function, a preset or TEST before restarting.

Holding START/STOP requests a normal stop first. After approximately 1.8 seconds of valid remote reception while moving, it cancels movement pulses and the return; establish the reference again afterward. This wireless function is not a guaranteed instantaneous mechanical emergency stop.

4. Check stopping behavior

Automatic count or timer stopping is a convenience, not a substitute for supervision. A stop command may allow a current movement to finish; confirm the behavior described for your model. Start at the lowest setting specified in the instructions. Avoid scene or random modes until you understand their range and limits. Stop immediately if operation is unexpected or uncomfortable. Use only with consenting adults, and never leave a person unattended with a running machine.

5. Cleaning and maintenance

  1. Stop the machine and disconnect power before inspection, cleaning or changing an attachment.
  2. Follow the manual’s cleaning directions for the actual attachment material. Ask support which cleaning agents are compatible if this is unclear.
  3. Do not immerse the motor, electronics, remote or power adapter. Keep moisture away from electrical connections.
  4. Dry cleaned parts fully before reassembly or storage. Inspect fasteners, attachments and cables before the next use.
  5. Store the equipment dry and dust-free. Use approved replacement parts and contact support about wear, unusual sounds or unstable movement.

How loud is a machine?

Noise depends on the model, selected setting, attachment, mounting surface and room. We have not published a controlled decibel comparison, so we cannot guarantee inaudibility through a closed door or shared wall. A useful demonstration shows the room background noise, microphone distance, setting and mounting conditions.
